Created over more than 150 hours across six months, Ghost uses an intricate indentation technique, embossing individual strands of fur into the paper before building layers of charcoal over the surface. Through repeatedly applying and removing charcoal, light and texture emerge from the darker layers to create remarkable depth, contrast and realism. The work received a Silver Award in Camelback Gallery’s 5th Annual My Best Work of 2022 International Juried Visual Arts Competition.
